How You Can Help
Sacramento Zoo Browse Community Service Project
This year you can help grow plants for the animals at the
Sacramento Zoo as part of our ecology unit.  It is a great
opportunity to provide community service in a fun and exciting way.

Plants are used to augment the diets of many Zoo animals, but the
Zoo must be very selective about the type of plants they give the
animals.  Even seemingly harmless-looking plants or plant parts
could be toxic.  So please, only grow plants from the
Zoo Kitchen
Plant List
.

To participate, just start growing a plant
or an entire garden at your
home to donate to the Zoo.  To make selecting and growing your
plants easier, Branches Nursery (Ph# 714-3333 @ 10075
Grantline Rd.) has volunteered to assist you with any questions you
may have.
