The Biggest Corn Maze in the World!!!!!
By Andi
On Saturday morning, my family was rushing to get ready. We were
preparing to go to Dixon's corn maze, the largest corn maze in the
world(Guinness World Records). When we got there, I was so
excited! I wondered how big it was, and if we would have trouble
getting out.
When we stepped up to the ticket booth, they handed us a map
of the perimeter and maze. The maze was huge! I was really scared
and shaky, because I heard a story on the news a while ago about two
teenagers getting lost, and having to be airlifted out of the maze!
When you go in the maze, there is a gigantic wooden staircase.
When you climb up,you can see how big the maze is. I could see the
maze more than halfway on the horizon line! When we went in, my
family and I relied on my dad to figure out how to read the map. After
a while, we got kind of lost! But my dad quickly figured out the maze,
and we were soon to the next staircase.
There were four staircases, each a different color. We only ended up
going to three, because we were to tired for the fourth one.  When we
stepped out, we were exhausted. We went straight to a restaurant,
and went home.
My parents estimated that we walked about three miles! I believed it.
Now thinking about it, I am really amazed that I have gone, and made
it, through the biggest corn maze in the world.
Fresno
By Angel
On Saturday May 31st me and my parents were going to Fresno to go buy some medicine because we ran out and Fresno only
had it.So on Saturday me and my parents woke up early so we can leave and not get stick in traffic. The drive was very boring
and long.
When we got there we exited on Ventura Street and headed towards Butter Avenue. We went looking for the Flea Market and
found it near the fairground in the corner. We parked my dad's corolla and went inside. There was nothing in the flea market
except food Hmong clothes and Hmong movies. We walked around and finally found a owner that sells the kind of medicine we
needed. There was only one pack of medicine left because a person before us bought mostly all of it. We bought the medicine
and the seller said "There is a woman over there that sells this king of medicine too. But maybe the person that bought all of mine
bought hers too.
So we went to go look and there was like two
left so we only bought one because we bought one of them already. We were about to leave until my mom said , "Since we are
here we can go visit mom and dad."  My dad said, "Ok," so my mom called my grandpa and gave the phone to my dad. After my
dad talked to my dad we left the flea market. We crossed Jackson Road. We went straight until we saw turn lane. We turned and
we see some stores, salons and restaurants there. We parked in the parking lot and walked to my grandpa and grandma's
restaurant. My mom ran back to the car because she forgot to get the rice rolls for my grandma.
My dad and I waited for my mom when my step
grandma came out the door and said"You came, come in and sit."My mom followed and when we sat down my grandma came
out from the back and hugged me.As my parents where talking to my grandparents I went in the back to see if I can help with
anything. We all go in the back and my grandpa said if we were not in a rush let my dad go with him to buy eggs. My dad and
grandpa left and me and my mom help my grandmas.I cleaned the tables and the tubs. One hour passed and my grandpa and dad
return and my parents said "We stayed long enough do we are going to leave now."We left around one o' clock. It took another 3
hours to get home so my parents and I listened to the hmong radio station. We got home at five and I immediately  went to bed.

When My Brother had Hodgkin's Cancer
By Macie
Once my brother had cancer and he was in the hospital for
about ten months. While he was in the hospital every one
went to the ER, except me because I was just 6 years old,
so I had to stay out. My sister, her friend, my mom, and
my dad took turns staying out with me. I was so scared for
my brother. One day my mom said, "Waylon is going to
have surgery to take out the problem and he might be
healed." So the next day my family checked on my brother
and he was better but still weak. About three months later
my brother came home with a humongous scar. And a few
months later he was back to normal.
The Beach
By Angel
One day in August, my brother Elvis and my niece Alyssa (Ally),and
I went to the beach in Petaluma.  We drove for 3 1/2 hours.  When
we got there we put on sunscreen and ran to the beach site.  When I
went up the sandy hill I barely made it.  The first half of the Great
Rock Beach was very windy that my eyes were watery.  We stayed
on the one half on the beach until my brother said lets go on he other
side of Great Rock, because this side we are on is too windy.  We
drove in the car again and approached the other side of the Beach.
It was a lot better, but we had to cross some rocks which made my
niece fall, so my brother told us to go on the flat smooth rocks.  We
got there and my niece wanted water to build a sand kingdom, so she
asked her dad, "Dad can you go get me and Angel some water to
build this kingdom, please?"  My brother left and while he was getting
water for us some seagulls came and stoled our sandwich and bag of
chips.  My brother tried chasing it, but the seagull was too fast.  We
stayed for like an hour or two, and when Ally and I were getting
some water the waves came so fast that the waves wet our bottoms.
And that was my day at the beach.
Practices will be held after school on Thursdays.
Halloween Carnival
By Ryan
Come to my church for the Halloween carnival. It is off
highway 99. The church is called Impact Community
Church. Admission is one dollar for ages 3 and up, but
children 2 years and younger are free. Food and drinks will
be provided with games,  jump houses, and dunk tanks.
Some of the prizes will be candy to eat. It sounds like fun,
doesn't it. Well it i, and there is a theme too.  That theme is
the 50's. So bring the family, bring the kids, and bring your
trick or treat bags and an empty stomachs.
How many of you are excited about Halloween? I know I
am, but as you may have guessed, I won't be home on
Halloween.  I will be at my church for the carnival. I know I
will have fun, but I will miss my Grandma's birthday.  It is
cool but sad because every Halloween I miss my
Grandma's birthday. But I know she wants me to have fun.
I wish her a happy birthday.
Samantha and Trevon lead the Cowboys to a
20-0 win over the Raiders in an exciting Doghouse
Super Bowl match up.
Samantha scored the first touchdown after
Sarah completed a long pass down the middle of
the field from Trevon to set up the score.  Trevon
added another touchdown at the start of the
second half.  The Raiders then began to mount a
drive, but it came to an end when Samantha
intercepted a pass and a few plays later scored her
second touchdown.
    Congratulations Cowboys!
